A Pale View of Hills
This book is by a Japanese author and I wanted to at least slightly reflect an Asian feel in the illustration (hopefully). The tree is really a cop out on my part, as I just didn't manage to achieve the look I wanted and would have liked a tree with much more detail and one that curled around in a beautiful shape... but it wasn't to be I guess.

Nice piece. The mountains are hardly visible on my monitor (I don't think I noticed them last time I saw this piece) but I like it like that. I agree that the tree could have been more detailed. It could also have been made with a thinner line width, to better complement the fine lines of the swing and the girl. I think the checkered floor is too bold for the rest of it and detracts from the beautiful subtlety of the girl and the mountains.
